WHAT IS MOPS?
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a place where moms
of newborns through kindergartners can come to find encouragement,
fellowship, food and fun. For more detailed information please visit www.mops.org
WHAT DO WE DO AT MOPS@gracespring?
We usually start off with a YUMMY breakfast and fellowship,
followed by a speaker with topics that change and have been thoughtfully
chosen to enhance knowledge in areas that are most important to moms. These are
usually followed by a table discussion lead by a discussion leader who is
there to encourage and lead us.We will then do a craft project that gives us a
chance to possibly learn a new skill and actually complete a
project without a little person interrupting! Sometimes we will do a
service or outreach project as well.We finish with prayer and have awesome
giveaways. A typical meeting would look something like this:
9:00-9:15 childcare and mom check-in
9:15-9:45 breakfast/fellowship
9:45-10:30 speaker/craft time
10:30-11:00 discussion group time
11:15 prayer & pick up kids
WHEN DOES MOPS MEET?
MOPS@gracespring meets every second and fourth Thursday of
the month from 9:00-11:00 am.
IS THERE CHILDCARE?
MOPS has a great program called MOPPETS. Children are
separated by ages to provide the safest environment, and each class is
staffed with qualified teachers who have all had a complete background check.
Each class will have age appropriate activities that may include arts
& crafts, indoor or outdoor playtime, snacks, Bible stories, music, videos
and toys. We are confident that you will feel at ease placing your
children in the Moppets program. However if you feel more comfortable
keeping your infant (0-6 mos) with you, you are welcome to do so. (and
sometimes your toddler when he/she needs it!) Nursing babies of course are always
welcome, we’re all moms...we get it!
WHAT DO I GET FOR MY REGISTRATION FEE?
A full semester of fellowship and encouragement, excellent
speakers and craft materials, childcare for your
children and MOPS International Membership which includes: MomSense

IM A LITTLE NERVOUS ABOUT COMING TO MOPS BY MYSELF AND NOT HAVING ANYONE TO TALK TO...
No worries...you will already be placed into an awesome discussion
group before you walk into the door of your first MOPS meeting.
Your discussion group leader will have already contacted you if possible
beforehand and someone will greet you when you arrive and show you where
to go. You will stay with your discussion group throughout the MOPS meeting and
year!
I AM NOT A MEMBER OF GRACESPRING BIBLE CHURCH, WILL I FEEL OUT OF PLACE?
Not at all.
MOPS@gracespring has a great mix of moms from a wide range of ages,
backgrounds, churches and parenting styles. We always find that as moms, regardless
of whether we are older or younger, work or stay at home, we have a lot in
common and we benefit and grow from knowing one another.
